Solsonès is the region known as the land of a 1000 farmhousesand we could also call it the land of a 1000 paths.There is so much to discover in our surroundings that with our suggested routes, you can explore the main trails, paths, tracks, and points of interest in our fantastic region, on foot or by bike.
The Solsonès is a unique place where you can find the cold snow in the north of the region, and at the same time the yellow fields in the south. It is a sparsely populated, natural, and wild region with a remarkable array of places to discover and various activities to enjoy with your friends and family.
The capital city, Solsona, gives its name to the Solsonès. This is the geographical centre of Catalonia, just over a hundred kilometres from Barcelona. It is a modern, medieval town at the foot of the Pre-Pyrenees; a city to be discovered, a city with character!
In the Solsonès area, you will find numerous activities to enjoy at your own pace: signposted routes for hiking and mountain biking, fairs, museums… Local professionals have created other experiences, with activities for everyone, where you can immerse yourself in the essence of Solsonès through its history, gastronomy, landscape, and adventure…
In the north of Solsonès you find the steep mountain ranges of Odèn and Vall de Lord that rise up into the Pre-Pyrenees, with breath-taking landscapes. In the centre, Solsona overlooks a county of orderly, gently rolling plains, and to the south, there are several scattered farmhouses and tiny villages.
